As a 16 year veteran of REIN I’ve seen a few ups and downs in the Edmonton market.

We are definitely in another down swing as far as prices are concerned and house sales are quite sluggish making it a perfect time to buy.

Job growth has been very strong this year and as an investor I’ve seen the demand for rentals increasing along with my rental income.

The combination of slow sales, high demand for rentals, an increase in rental income, and historically low interest rates makes NOW the best time to purchase another rental property. I’ve been in Alberta for 16 years and I don’t think I’ve ever seen all of these factors align as well as they are right now.

The only thing you need now is a veteran investor to partner up with. If you provide the financial requirements for a purchase I’ll provide the “In the field” expertise and deal with the property, tenants, and late night phone calls.

My joint venture arrangements are pretty standard to what REIN teaches. One person puts up the money and the other person deals with the property etc. Then we do a 50-50 split when the property is sold.
