Our tenant is missing July rent, and I gave them N4, but haven't start any L1 yet, because the tenant said they will pay both month on August. This Month Aug 1, tenant has only one month rent. They said it is for the month of August.  My question is can the tenant say which month is it for? My understanding is the rent should be for July, not for August.  And Can I still start the L1 process?, If the tenant insist their rent is for the month of August.?
