Godfried is a geologist by training and landed in Calgary as an immigraint in 1979.
After a nearly 30 year career in the petroleum industry he semi-retired in 2006. Godfried worked both in Canada and internationally; he worked as exploitation geologist, exploration and regional geologist. He also taught/teaches geology through industry courses, in-house courses and via the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists (CSPG).

Godfried is married to Nattalia with two nearly grown-up kids. His wife, an engineer with a green touch, is still working in the oil industry and recently started SIDS21, a luncheon and networking group titled "Sustainable Industry Development of the 21st Century"(http://sid21c.com/). Godfried's daughter finishes her degree in Geology coming April; his son just started an education in Business Admin. And Now, Godfried himself started his second career as a Realtor aiming to help young people to find a home that fits in their vision of life. He also plans to focus on starting and small real estate investors.

Godfried owns a number of properties as well as a securities investment portfolio. He has over 30 years of investment experience and wishes to help young people on their way to a succesful investment life. Also, over the years he sat on several committees. He was chairman of the CSPG International Division; chairman of the CSPG Education Committee. He is also active on various condo corp boards and is president of a Resort Rental Pool.
