In real estate, going backwards in time, I've owned several 4-6 plexes and 2 rooming houses in different towns and cities, had very short careers as a realtor and on site condo salesperson, arranged mortgages for builders through institutional investors with Morguard for 3 years, and helped my mum for 10 years in her property management business that managed four old 30+ suite apartment buildings in Vancouver's West End.
I used to manage my own properties too, so really appreciate all my present property managers do. I also appreciate all that realtors do for me having walked in those shoes.
