I was an engineer before becoming a medical doctor. It was shortly after starting my practice that I made my first real estate investment out of frustration with the poor returns I was seeing with a popular investment company. It seemed the risks of having all your money in potentially volatile stocks and mutual funds was not the way to secure a viable retirement income. After I devoured many books pertaining to real estate I took the plunge by forming a joint venture with a business associate to purchase six residential duplexes from another investor. This experience led me to partner in the Brock Shopping Centre. Seeing the potential that investing in real estate offered, I wanted to share this success with other professionals. I’m a busy guy, but I’ve developed proven systems and built the right team to make this endeavor possible. I’m very particular who is on my team – I choose only the very best people to help and advise me. I scoured the Kamloops market to find and purchase a 26 unit apartment complex, then a 14 unit apartment building, then a 35 unit apartment building with Sam (all on the North Shore of Kamloops). These were purchased with many investor partners (all busy professionals). The investments have gone according to plan and are currently doing well thanks to diligent management, and a strengthening market.
