Hi there,

Just got a message from one of the tenants in a lower unit of fourplex with picture showing milky water color, no smell randomly rise up since last night and then went down. I did not here anything from the other units yet. Wondering if anyone know what cause it? Any recommendation or preferred contractors for Edmonton north east area? Thanks for your help!

Just got a bit more info...the water rise up and sat still for about half hour and then went down. It repeated that process for multiple times. No other plumping issue in whole building. ImageUploadedBymyREINspace1505785080.978749.jpg

Call your favourite roto-rooter plumber. Easy fix. But one that won't get better without attention... and could get much worse.

You may want to consider a company who also steam cleans pipes. If it is a grease build-up, steam cleaning is often the best option.

Thanks everyone for your response! So the plumper was in the unit today and auger the drain up to 25 feet. He found that there were lots of food in the drain pipe. He mentioned the food is either from that unit or the one above. So I sent out a friendly reminder message indicating that they will responsible for the cleaning/damage next time as well as some tips from EPCOR on what can't be flush down.

Thanks Sharon! It is in the lease. But as there are unit above and below, the plumper could not tell which unit caused it.
