Hello I am having problems with my student house in the city of St Catharines . The bylaw officers have received a complaint that I am running a rooming house. What can I do? Please help. The alligators are snapping at my heels !!!

ThomasBeyer Just lease it, but at the risk that the city shuts you down, usually if someone complains due to noise, drugs, too many cars, too much partying etc. It is about neighborhood concerns and as such, about tenant behavior management ! Over the last several month's my property manager has had trouble closing on prospective tenants that he has a good gut feel about. He gives them an application to complete, and either they don't send it back or they return it but ultimately they don't take the place once the application...

I have a rental home in Brampton which I purchased with a separate entrance going into the basement from the back of the home.
