The Calgary Residential Rental Association (CRRA) has been working closely with all areas of government to ensure that fair rental market practices remain. The CRRA has created a website to address your concerns about the Edmonton Court of Queen’s Bench order directing the Provincial Government to add age as a protected category to the Human Rights Legislation. This will affect our industry and eliminate adult only rental buildings.
Please visit www.albertansforchoice.com and if you have an adult only building encourage your tenants to do the same. Make your voice heard!
It only takes a minute to send the already developed email which goes to your local MLA, the Minister of Justice and Solicitor General, Kathleen Ganley, the Minister of Service Alberta, Stephanie McLean, the Minister of Seniors and Housing, Lori Sigurdson, and to opposition critics.
Your feedback is very important as your responses will assist us in conveying the demand for adult-only buildings for the residential rental industry when meeting with elected MLAs and members of the media.
We have received 193 responses so far and are hoping to increase that number drastically but we can't do that without your help. We hope you will take the time to express your concerns and we thank you in advance for your support.
