Winnipeg's real estate division trying to rush new land sale





Mayoral candidate Paula Havixbeck is calling for a moratorium of all city real estate deals until the completion of an RCMP review.





Havixbeck said today that all land deals should be put on hold pending the outcome of the review, singling out the proposed sale of the former Kenaston snow dump to the firm that is converting the Canada Post warehouse into the new police headquarters building.

Regina sees biggest jump in new listings in July





A new report shows Regina had the biggest increase in new listings among Canada`s major real estate markets in July.





The Canadian Real Estate Association says there were 782 new residential listings in the city last month, an increase of 19.8 per cent from June. On a year-over-year basis, new residential listings in Regina were up 24.5 per cent.
