I own a condo that I rent out. The dog size rule is 15 kG (33 lbs approx).

My place is empty now and I have a really good prospective tenant who is a doctor wanting to rent the place. But he has a dog at 45 lbs.

I’m wondering what to do. What can a condo board do if they find out?

What would you do? Rent it anyway or say no?

I can ask the board but I think he wants to know soon and they can’t wait much longer.

Follow the condo rules otherwise you may end up with bigger issues with both the board and the tenant. If the tenant's pet will interfere with the rules then they're not the right tenant.

Good luck finding the right tenant.

This is one area where condo board rules trump RTA. Follow the condo rules, they have power to enforce pet rules.
