Looking to purchase in hamilton. A few friends have rentals and have them managed. But they've had a tough time finding a good property manager. Their tenants complain about their lack of responsiveness and my friends insist their tenants are right. So my question is can anyone suggest a few reliable PMs in Hamilton so I would be able to retain tenants and keep them happy while making money?

Also Starting to look for real estate agents in Hamilton that know their stuff about investment properties ie income potential of properties, fire codes, zoning requirements, tenant profiles, etc. I hate to say this but I've dealt with RAs who think they know investing but have no clue and it has burned me.

Thanks

Good on you for choosing to work with a realtor that specializes! Not one who "says" they understand investments but are just in it for the next commission cheque. This is something I'm very passionate about and preach all the time.

If you are looking to invest in Hamilton, get in touch with Erwin Szeto or Mark Loffler. They're Hamilton specialists and can help you form the rest of your Hamilton team as well. Let me know how it goes!

I would advise starting in the business that you manage your property yourself. Until you fully understand the business you will not be able to manage a PM.

Give Tina Lister of Blackbird Property Group a call for property management in Hamilton 905 318 6081.

You are not the only one who has be burnt in Hamilton. I know several people (were not working with me at the time) who have been burnt badly and are having to significantly renovate, pay fines, go to court vs. the City of Hamilton or sell for losses. Make sure to check references of RA's you're interested in working with. If you would to meet mine, come see me at the next REIN meeting or come to my next networking meeting on June 22nd.

Good luck and I hope that helps!

Erwin
