Howdy,
I highly recommend that you take out the Property Goldmine Scorecard and ask those critical questions before you jump into any region (whether it seems hot or cold).
The answers to these questions will definitely help you discern whether it is a good place to put your money for the long term or whether it is a short term blip. In addition, you MUST visit a region before investing there so you see what`s real and what could be rumor or media hype. Make sure you go there, spend a few days, talk to the economic development office, speak with the planning departments and get the answers to those 13 critical questions.
As a matter of fact this is an important message for ALL investors no matter where they are thinking of investing. Never invest blind on rumor or hot markets, make sure that when the time comes the economics are there to support it.

Ros, I`ll ditto what Don just said. PA`s biggest employer is the pulp mill which is slated to close completely and, I believe is already partially shut down. The only other draw is the casino. By following the scorecard, you will get an accurate picture of the health of the PA economy and population. Good luck.

Prince Albert is currently out of my focus, however my partner did very well buying up some farm land there for our investors in Calgary in December. There are government programs there that we were able to turn around the deal in a very short time and the investors made a 300% return. Give me a shout perhaps he could help you out.
