Alberta landlords:

Carbon Levy on natural gas will begin Jan 1, 2017 with $1.011 / GJ premium over current rates. (Source: http://www.alberta.ca/climate-carbon-pricing.aspx?gclid=CP7dremwzs8CFQipaQodw1QEZA)

Electricity rates likely to escalate significantly as well due to the phase out of coal-fired electricity generators. Coal generates 55% of Alberta's electricity today.

How are you protecting your properties from utility price increases? What energy suppliers would you recommend using?

Thanks
