Hello

I found the following thread as well as a few others, but they did not answer the following question...

Pet Thread

http://myreinspace.com/public_forums/Real_Estate_Discussion/62-1129-pets.html

If the person moves and you discover that the carpets or laminate are destroyed because of the pet (urine, scratches), can you sue or go through the BC Rental Tendency Act to recover money to repair the damage if it far exceeds the damage deposit?

ie: Damage deposit: $500, but the pet destroyed all the new carpets which will cost $1500 to replace

The increase in rent that you can charge renters is nice, but is it worth it if the above situation occurs.

Thank you
