A 10% CMHC mortgage insurance premium rebate

Hello folks,

Recently I came across some information regarding CMHC incentive that is offered on energy efficient homes:

"…A 10% CMHC mortgage loan insurance premium refund and extended amortization periods of up to 40 years without surcharge may be available when you use CMHC insured financing to purchase an energy-efficient home or make energy-saving renovations…"

Does anyone have any experience working with this program? Any information regarding similar savings would be much appreciated.

I didn`t know about this program but thank you for bringing it to my attn I will be doing a reno shortly and this will if I qualify result in some big savings. I will post on the board how my progress goes.
