Advice on removal of sub letter

My tenant allowed a room mate to move into a room in a basement suite with him. He didn`t get him to sign a lease, and now wants to get him out. There`s been a lack of rent issues, and more concerningly disruptions to parties in the house.

Bad spot I realize, but wonder what everyone else would do.

The `guest` is not on the lease, so, in Alberta, you can evict him with very short notice in writing (I think it is 48 hours - but look it up in the Alberta LTA). So you can be the bad guy and let your tenant off that hook, and that would make this easier for him to support you on as a result - and I am thinking he would owe you one...
