Hello REIN friends,

I am wondering what your thoughts are on the best way to differentiate your rental property from other cookie cutter condos.

We are in the process of building 7 units from scratch in the downtown core where it is expected that multiple condos are set for completion in the next 5 years.

What sort of amenities, services, layout design do you think is desirable in a downtown core.

Thanks for your input

New built houses / town homes I'm assuming? Or are you talking about buying condos in buildings?

Check out what RNDSQR is doing in Calgary, some very cool ideas: http://www.rndsqr.ca/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIutzQtp-k5QIVC9NkCh3AfQmPEAAYASAAEgIky_D_BwE

Assuming townhomes / detached: environmental aspects, water recycling, corrugated metals, 3rd floor patios, lots of bathrooms, waterfall countertops, under counter lighting, smart technology in the house, no carpet. Exterior design is critical as well - and knowledge of the price point that works for the rents you can achieve. $3000k + month should be achievable for a nicely done product, assuming a good neighbourhood (for a detached).
