The Calgary Signage Bylaw can be confusing. So I made it visual and noted important restrictions. It may be helpful to keep in your car as your posting flyers/ posters/ bandit signs.

Legend:

Blue (ish): Prohibited Areas- No Signs
Red (ish): Restricted Areas- Posters attached to poles or standard street light poles allowed. No signs.

Signs are not
legal if it:

-Is closer than 30 metres to any intersection
-Is closer than 2 metres from the curb
-Is placed on any traffic island or center median

For you bandits hopefully these simplified guidelines are handy.

Hi David,

Your welcome!

I created the map using www.quickmaps.com . You can access the Edmonton Signage Bylaw from the municipal website. It may take a couple hours but probably worth it. You have a clear image of where you can advertise so you can plan accordingly- and stay out of trouble and avoid fines.
