Can assignment fees be included as part of the mortgage?

Can assignment fees be included as part of the mortgage? If I get a JV partner in and charge an assignment fee, can that be added to the mortgage?

typically any fees are over and above the mortgage amount. Although if you go the private lending route this is sometimes negotiable.

Wouldn`t the fee be income for you, paid to you by your JV Partner? Why would you want to further encumber the property and reduce it`s cashflow? This should be a part of the investment of capital by the Money Partner.
