Complaints that the strong loonie is undermining Canadian manufacturers` ability to compete internationally aren`t supported by a local survey.
Half of the respondents to a manufacturing survey conducted by Red Deer Regional Economic Development said they exported products in 2007. A similar survey a year ago found that 18 per cent had out-of-country sales in 2006.
