Do PM companies change tax?

Probably a silly question but...

... if you have a PM manage a portfolio of residential single family homes, do they change tax (GST & PST, or HST) on top of the percentage they charge?

Yes, GST here in Manitoba. Expect anywhere from 6% to 12% for their fees exclusive of GST. Beware of those in the 6% range. You get what you pay for.

yes as they provide a SERVICE

Expect prices and NOI in rent controlled ON and BC to drop slightly as total expenses go up with HST !

Thanks everyone. I thought as much, but wasn`t sure if the fact it was residential, (who`s rent isn`t subject to tax) played into it.
