duplex or triplex in Hamilton

Hi everyone,



I am looking to by a duplex or triplex in Hamilton. I need some help with the terminology. Can someone explain to me what legal non-conforming duplex(triplex) means? What will be the implications of the 'non-conformity' to me as a buyer? Also when the seller claims the duplex (triplex) is legal, what should I check to ensure that the property is indeed legal?

There are no issues with legal non confirming key word here is legal. As for checking verifying with the city your lawyer can request a zoning verification from the city.
