Edmonton/Alberta Property Taxes

Hi Everyone,

I was just curious about the format that property taxes follow in Alberta and Edmonton specifically. In BC, you are assessed your property taxes and then given and option to get a rebate if the property is your primary residence or if you are over the age of 65.

Is this the same in Alberta or is there some other form?

every person pays the same: foreigners, seniors, under 18, over 65, un-employed, owner occupied or vacant ...
