My friend has a duplex where upper unit living room floor is sinking down.

Which type of companies/professions are best to involve for inspecting and repairing something like this?

Would you involve insurance company or probably not?

Thanks,

Neil

Likely a joist / beam / structural problem. Open ceiling, possibly adjoining walls, and have a look then fix it, by adding new beams/joists and/or replacing new ones. A carpenter can do that or a firm that does home renovations.

Likely not an insurance claim.
