Is Hamilton becoming another Windsor?

With closing of steel plant and it being a major industry there, just wondering if it makes sense to invest in Hamilton.

Hamilton has some very good fundamentals at work like implementing the creation of high tech industry commercial developements, vital transportation infrastructure developement not to mention its geographical location as a transportation hub plus an extremely proactive and motivated metropolitan EDO.
Don`t just take my word for it, go there and find out for yourself.
Steel is not the biggest employer in Hamilton, Health/Sciences is.

That means it`s commuting distance to Toronto, either by Go-Train or car, and that changes all the numbers. Windsor is commuting distance to... Detroit.
Personally, I`m feeling very positive about Hamilton, despite it`s recent troubling news.

Hamilton is more diverse then just steel and as previous posters indicate has a good long term future. Listing prices have not come down much but motivated sellers are entertaining offers significantly lower then list price. If you find the right property go for it but negotiate hard for the right price. If they will not budge walk away. The recent layoffs will soften the market some more and present good value.

Thanks!
Researched Hamilton a bit more, it`s actually among 10 recommended cities for real estate investing. Not like Windsor at all. Good to know
