Anybody have any experience with the (now standard) 1 year inspection of new homes in Vancouver? I have 2 suites in the basement of a single detached home in Vancouver where both are not legal. The City will come inspect the home now that it is roughly 1 yr old to check for illegal suites. I've heard people have taken out the appliances AND cabinets to pass this inspection. I have also heard people have taken out only the appliances to pass the inspection. Any data points out there that would be useful for me to figure out what I need to do?
