Hello
My renters recently decided to move out...within the last couple weeks, they had an accident with hot grease dripping on the carpet (cooking and tried to turn on smoke detector in livingroom with pan in hand). Its not a huge area destroyed, but definitely noticeable and an issue for any future renters. Their damage depost was $425. Approx. 200 sq ft of carpet at $5-$7 sq ft to re-install new stuff. Called a few carpet places and they say they wouldn`t be able to repair the carpet by splicing in a new piece as it would be very noticeable.
Is this a case were the entire damage deposit should be taken? Any other suggestions?
Thanks
