Hi,

I`ve a friend that want to move from San Francisco to Edmonton. He`s in the high tech/IT field. Does anyone know how he`d go about looking for a job and getting a working permit?

I have a new tenant (originally from India) who was working at Adobe in San Jose and is now working as a software programmer at a place called CGI in Edmonton. I`ll ask him how he did it and email you.

There is also a provincial nominee program in Alberta and BC, and one new one just in Ontario. expedites the process, still very strict though, the compant that expedites your visa must meet various criteria alongside the candidate.

City websites or general phone lines should have details of the PNP, ( Provincial Nominee Programs)
