Employment levels up in September
Wages and employment levels jumped in Saskatchewan in September, as the province continued to be among the nation`s leaders in economic growth.
Data released by Statistics Canada Friday indicated the average weekly earnings of employees in Saskatchewan increased by 4.1 per cent in September compared to September of last year. That was above the national average increase of 3.3 per cent, with only Alberta (5.9 per cent) and New Brunswick (4.3 per cent) posting higher increases in average wages than Saskatchewan.
