Hoping someone has the answer to this as all my google searches on this topic were ambiguous.

I have no screens on the windows of my town home. My tenant wants them , but I am wondering if this is considered common property in BC. Are screens the Strata's responsibility or the owners?

Thanks : )

Outside is usually common property, i.e. strata. Then you must get strata permission to install one.

Inside screen is owner, however there may be a by-law re curtains / screens, as you might not be allowed to hang a orange sheet, a pink towel, a skull flag or a dark screen, for example. Check your bylaws, and/or contact the board or strata manager. They should get back to you with the specific rules.

Is the screen inside or outside ?
