Thank you to the Tri-Cities!

We would like to extend a tremendous thank you to the residents of the Lower Mainland and particularly the Tri-cities, Port Moody, Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam!!

Peter Kinch and the Canadian Mortgage Team held our 1st Annual Coats for Kids Drive yesterday. The rain and snow did not dampen our spirits!! We were out behind our office, waiving at the rush hour traffice from 6:30 am, right through to the evening rush to 6:30 pm. Santa joined us for most of the day, and was obivously the crowd favourite!!

We did not expect the overwhelming response, we`re still counting the coats!! We set our original target at 100 coats through our efforts!! Late into the night Peter and Gena were still counting coats. We`ve surpassed the 300 coat mark and expect we`ll easily have over 400 coats for needy kids when we`re through. That`s not to mention the toques, mitts, gloves, and misc itmes that residents dropped off throughout the day.

We will be working with the Caring Hearts Society to distribute the coats to needy kids throughout the Lower Mainland. Adult and teenager items will be distributed through Covenant House.

Just wanted to add a further update....... with continued response to the Coat Drive over the last couple of days, we`ve easily exceeded 500 coats. Thanks again to all the friends and family, and the residents of the Tri Cities!!!
