I am a new Rein member with a possible opportunity to purchase a property at a good price. An older home that is 'suite'able and has a separate rentable cottage. Also a rentable garage is present. the zoning is R-1 (BC). By purchasing and developing another suite the cash flow would be excellent but I do not know if the zoning should concern me or if I should try to change the zoning. I do not know exactly what that process is and how long it would take to accomplish. Is it is possible or worth the effort? Comments would be appreciated.
