Im posting here to see what kind of response i could get.
Any at all is great.

I have no accurate business plan, or description on size etc.

But i would like to start a assisted living/retirement home, that could allow me to accomodate between 4-8 tenants in alberta, specifically in edmonton, where i currently live.

Anyone have any experience in this field, or recommendations?

I have some cash, and would qualify for 600,000 mortgage.

One place to start is to go to the city of Edmonton webpage, grab a copy of the zoning law (pdf) and search it for `retirement home`. That would pull up everywhere its mentioned in the land use law.
