I`ve been using Co-operators for my non-principal residence condo. I don`t own my principal residence. But I do have my car insurance through them as well...

Interesting stuff. I`ve never even heard of Mortgage Investment Corporations (MIC). Sounds like an interesting way to diversify income streams if you invest in well managed corporations. Can you invest in these via a Self-directed RRSP? Nevermind answered my own question...
