Olympia Trust - what is your experience with this company?

They just hold money for you. You transfer in, or transfer out , and hold whatever investment you have. The admin fees are expensive, I think. For example, it cost 75 dollar to transfer out cash + GST (ex. RRSP to another RRSP account). Then there are annual fees, of 150/year + GST.

    New Garbage collection in Edmonton

Well, all my leases doesn't say anything about garbage, but mostly I pay utilities ( as per leased). However, now with increasing carbon taxes and also garbage fees and extra handling of garbage, I will probably include a separate schedule for proper garbage handling/carbon taxes and new...

    New Garbage collection in Edmonton

Are you thinking of increasing fees or rent as a result of the new garbage bins and collection method in Edmonton? Will this work for tenants , especially in main floor and basement settings where the garage is typically very messy. With collection in two week intervals, I"m sure two sets of...

    My First Multi-Family Residential Experience

Noise is a big issue when having mainfloor and basement suites. Has anybody use the expensive acoustic drywall? I believe it cost something like 50 dollars a sheet ?? (not sure though) It has multiple layers of gymsum and some acoustic sealant to dampen sound. I usually just do multiple...

Actually, I was trying to help out another tenant. He re-signed, but later want's to back out. He provided notice before the annual due date. I thought that was sufficient. However, it's still up to the landlord to grant a cancellation. The tenant was good, paid one year and was a good...

    ARV in edmonton

How exactly can you access the "map of legal suites" in Edmonton? I went to the assessment page and see what themes are available in the legend and can't exactly find it. Does anybody have the URL? When looking at the assessment value for my houses with legal suites, it seems the City does...
