My wife and I began our real estate investing journey in 2006 with the purchase of a rental property that was intended to help out family members. We quickly got hooked and started buying as much as we could in about 2010. We focused on townhouses in central Alberta, and it has done well for us thus far.
We recently transplanted to Airdrie due to a job transfer, and are looking forward to this new phase in our lives with our son just starting elementary school.
Real estate investment is a long term plan, but it has already paid dividends, as the additional income we make off of it got us our home in Airdrie that we would not have qualified for with just the job.
