My name is Tony Peters and I am a Diamond REIN member. I joined REIN almost 10 years ago and I have NEVER looked back!

Since joining REIN I have been honored to receive the (REIN) 2004 Player of the Year Award, as well as a number of Top Ten Awards. Our amazing journey was published in Don R. Campbell's book titled "51 Success Stories from Canadian Real Estate Investors". You can find our story on page #230 titled "The Ultimate Systemizer" http://www.chsicanada.com/media/book_p230.pdf

If you would like to listen to an interview that was conducted by Russell Westcott, you can do so by clicking on this link: http://www.myreinspace.com/forums/index.ph...mp;showfile=660

I hope our story will help motivate many people to..."Take Control of Their Own Financial Futures".

Our own journey began when we (my wife and I) attended our very first QuickStart Program. Notice how I said "my wife and I". This is extremely important, as you need to have the support of your "significant other" if you want to be truly successful. Draging a "heavy" and "negative" anchor around will NOT get you anywhere in life! Within five weeks of graduating from this workshop we purchased our first 10 properties. Prior to joining REIN, we had never purchased a single piece of real estate, except for our own home. So how were we able to achieve this you may ask? Well, for us it was easy...we "EDUCATED" ourselves, and by doing so we lowered the "FEAR" barrier! Once you can see over the top of the fear barrier, it is much easier to TAKE ACTION! It was REIN that provided us with the education and the knowledge so that we could lower the fear barrier and go out and negotiate "educated" real estate purchases. For us…it REALLY was, that EASY!

Since that time we have purchased hundreds of properties, by implementing many of the "CREATIVE" strategies that REIN and their guest speakers teach. As a result of the creative real estate investing strategies that we have implemented, I was able to stop "Swapping My Hours for Dollars" and "Give up My Day Job"! After all, the word JOB stands for..."Just Over Broke"! I don't know about you, but being broke is NOT that exciting!

We have and, we continue to help other people realize their dreams in life. We help people realize the "ultimate dream of owning their own home" with the aid of our unique and creative Lease To Own System that we have developed. For those who do not want to manage "The Terrible T's"™ (Tenants and Toilets), we help them to "realize above average returns on their investment capital" by investing it in our real estate deals. I personally speak at many seminars and workshops. I do this in an extended effort to EMPOWER and MOTIVATE others to take action, and to provide them with the education and tools to take control of their own financial futures, because…Nobody Else Will!

Our philosophy in life is to ensure that no matter what we do…Everybody Wins!

Making money is okay, but there is an (unwritten) universal rule that requires you to..."give back". You have probably heard the old saying…"in order to receive, you must first give back". Giving back to society is an extremely important component if you want to be "truly" successful in life! We give back in many different ways. We give our TIME. We give our KNOWLEDGE, and we give our MONEY. I chair a (not-for profit) organization called The Edmonton Financial Literacy Society www.efls.ca. I have been a member of this organization for five years and Board Chair for the past three. I look forward to serving this organization and others for many years to come. I also give back by writing a FREE monthly "The Creative Edge" e-Letter http://www.TonyPeters.ca/creative-edge-eletter.html that I share with others.
