Hello everyone! We've recently started our newest basemdnt apartment project! Here's week 1 demolition:
 
What you guys doing with basement sound insulation? Curious to know if people can comment on sound boards, or any new technologies, materials. I have use roxul, resilient channels, and in noisy room, even triple drywalls.
 
I see it's been a while since you've posted, but I'm curious....how has this unit been performing for you lately in terms of tenant quality and maintenance? I’m thinking about doing something similar and would love to hear how it held up a year later. Did anything surprise you after renting it out for a bit?
 
And also...I had the same issue with uneven drywall cuts near the floor, and what helped hide it cleanly was installing a wider skirting board. It covered the gap without needing extra filler or trim, and matched the other rooms. Kept it simple and paintable in case I wanted to change colors later.
