For aesthetics and continuity, I am considering installing laminate for the whole house, excluding the bathroom. I do not spend much time in kitchen so I`m ignorant of how this would go over. Are there any practical problems that would arise from this?

I`ve never had to deal with a furnace before. I`m curious to know what how one would know when the furnace needs to be cleaned? And how often do they need to be cleaned?
