Any Investors in Ontario that do Agreement for sale?

Hello fellow REIN members,



I am a new RE investor and is still trying to learn the ropes. I currently reside in Ontario and I'm taking a mentorship program that is being taught in Calgary. I am currently learning a buying technique called an Agreement for Sale. I was just curious if there are any investors out there that are currently living in Ontario that are getting into real estate deals via Agreement for Sales? I know this is a viable way to get into a property without qualifying. I just do not hear much about it in any forums. If there are investors out there that buy AFS deals or any related experience could you kindly please share with me your story? Thank you!

Hi Bajic,

I've bought properties using Agreements for Sale. It's a good solution in some situations. The situations where I find it helps the seller (and makes me money too!) is when the seller can avoid a large mortgage pre-payment penalty and avoid realtor fees. Agreements for sale have been discussed in other forums... but maybe it's in the members only area.
