Just released today, the Calgary and area market stats. Not even needing to look at what the stats are, there is without question an inventory shortage in many key price categories that is driving competing offers and purchases over list. The report gives some indication to this.

Just a comment that the rental market is also extremely strong here. I recently had a vacancy and re-rented it for 28% more than my last tenant was paying, and had huge demand at that price. Demand for decent rentals in the inner city is huge right now.
