Bennett Pros in Ottawa

I`m from Ottawa and have attended an `Increase your wealth with real estate` seminar given by Marnie Bennett of:

They claim that they have members (regular working people) that have purchased many rental
units in one year. I believe the example they gave was 20 units in one year using their
system that real estate millionaires use.

I`m no stranger to rental units as in the past I have owned a SFH that I rented before I sold it and purchased another
SFH which I currently rent out as well.

Does anyone on this forum have experience with Marnie and her team? Based on the one seminar I attended, it was more of a condo sales pitch.

Do her claims about buying multiple rental units in one year using their system seem feasible for average working people

I am also from Ottawa and in fact I attended such seminar. However, I left the "seminar" due the sale pitch approach. There is another group in Ottawa that have something similar to REIN but much more focus to the Ottawa region. I`m also from Ottawa, and am a member of OREIO (the Ottawa Real Estate Investors Organization). OREIO has monthly meetings, and you can learn a lot about the local market just by attending.

Thanks for the reply. I`ve come across the OREIO site already and I`ll definitely try to attend the next meeting in November.

I am also an OREIO member (and REIN). If you have any question, let me know.

Regarding Spirepoint, they offer educational seminar (intro is free). They are not realtors so you can learn about the real facts about real estate investing. They are friendly people and they actually invest in Edmonton and Ottawa, following the REIN system.

Regarding Bennett Pros group, they sell lots condos and claim themselves "condo experts". They encourage people to buy pre-built condo and expect appreciation in 2-3 year time frame (which is not really REIN system). But due to the strength and stability of Ottawa market, chances are, you will get good appreciation. They are also good people, but keep an open mind and do your own due diligence when you look at their cashflow analysis.
