Well, we managed to find ourselves a place in Airdrie. Still working on conditions and all that. Wound up getting way more house than we envisioned, but the beauty is it comes with a legal suite of approx 600 sq feet above the garage. I never actually new the term 'carriage house' until I had to look it up for this place 
Does anyone have any experience with these? Looks like the rents on them in Airdrie are decent, nice way to offset your mortgage. We're certainly comfortable with the idea of a rental (duh, we're here on REIN), and we've had roommates in our house in the past, so the idea of a close tenant doesn't really bother us much either.
