Hello all,

As you all well know the Lumber industry isn`t the best place to be employed in right now. I find myself looking for other employment prior to any more Weyerhaeuser mills being closed in the next quarter.

I would like to relocate to Spruce Grove but have only been in Alberta since May 2006 and have no idea where to look for jobs, just happen to luck out and get on with Weyerhaeuser in the role of Programmer/Site support in Drayton Valley. And now in Edson. But Mileage to and from Edson is killing me and it has been recommended that I not move there by my Manager.

Any suggestions on places to apply would be greatly appreciated.

most places in AB, SK, BC or MB have PLENTY of jobs !!!

check monster.ca or workopolis.ca or the Edmonton Journal .. PLENTY OF JOBS !!!

assess your skills and your desires .. then write a resume that sells you well (have it reviewed by at least 3 people with one being a professional / headhunter ..) .. then go hit the phone, the e-mail, the fax machine and drop by in person .. MANY MANY MANY jobs out there !!!
