Hello everyone.
Earlier this year, I began experimenting with providing online daily economic updates. This resulted from the fact that "What`s behind the Curtain" at the REIN meetings has been a popular item for many members. Although the process of covering BC, AB, SK and ON economics on a daily basis is still being refined, I believe the core cities where many members are investing is being adequately covered.

One of the outstanding issues which I have been working on is to provide updates for territories where REIN meetings are not held. Unfortunately, REIN meetings cannot be held in every major city throughout the month.

Effective next week, there will be a new thread that I will update daily (or as close to it as possible) for Manitoba. Monday through Saturday will feature articles mostly from Winnipeg and Sundays will highlight small townsjust a is done with BC, AB and SK.

As a coming attaction of what to expect, here is a sample article. Happy Investing.

Stadium to revamp riverbank?

Higgins Avenue could be relocated and a full kilometre of riverfront property would spring to life as part of the redevelopment of South Point Douglas, Mayor Sam Katz said Monday as a site along the Red River downstream from Waterfront Drive emerged as the preferred location for a proposed football stadium. The "urban renewal" project Katz has presented to Premier Gary Doer and senior Manitoba MP Vic Toews could result in a new connection between the Louise Bridge and the Disraeli Freeway and a new waterfront along the Red, the mayor suggested as he singled out Higgins Avenue as a key to a Point Douglas puzzle he would still prefer to keep under wraps.
