I have a condo where they`ve done an assessment for windows, a few other repairs and reserve. Not uncommon, and in this case the value they plan to put in the units far outweighs the amount...however there is one owner that is giving the board all sorts of grief about anything they do (They are a doing a great job), using all sorts of procedure rules and silliness to subvert anything they try to do. They hollered for 2 years at the pace of the window installations, now they are all going to be done and so they are now complaining about that process. Those of you that own condos know the type there is one at every meeting it seems. Anyway their latest ruse is the condo corp should look into government grants for reducing carbon emissions etc etc. I have a friend that did a program like that and it seems to me it cost her thousands to comply (but was thing she wanted to do anyway) to get $600 back after 2 lengthy audit processes and in the end she figured it wasn`t worth it. Anyone else have any experience with things like this? Thanks.
