Quick question. I want to convert an apartment in my triplex to an alternate form of heat from electric baseboard - maybe gas, or infrared heater, etc.
I found a website http://www.spaceray.com/4_space-ray_faqs.php on gas infrared heating, but I'm not sure if it would be appropriate way to heat a 500 sq ft apartment.
Currently I have a gas furnace that heats the other 2 apartments in the rest of the house (like a normal furnace in a normal house). If I use bring gas from the furnace, I would have to bring a gas line to the apartment in question and then hook up a heating unit of some type in the apartment in question.
The apartment is quite chopped up into several rooms and there is no space for a regular gas fireplace, so I have to come up with another solution that does not take up a lot of space. I had a couple of quotes for modulating heaters but they want to charge me about $4500. Waaay too expensive.
Thanks for your help.
