Geo-thermal groundsource heating

Hi there, We have been members since March 2008. We are closing on our 1st 3 rental properties at the end of this month. 2 5-plexes and a 4 plex.

I have an unrelated question regarding alternate sources of heating. We live on 2 acres in the Stouffville area and are on a propane furnace which was put in 1999. We are currently looking into changing to groundsource heating for our own residence.
The house is about 3450 sq ft. Half the house is 100 yrs old, not well insulated. The newer half is about 30 yrs old, some insulation.

We currently spend $7000 -9000 on heat and hydro per year.

We do know there are government grants available up to $7000.00 for this plus further grants for other energy upgrades.

We would welcome any comments from others who have looked into/installed this kinfd of product

....Let`s say that I am very jealous!!! Geo thermo is the BEST WAY to heat IF it applies to your BUDGET & your space. You have the space and if I had it, there would be no questions about it except, who is the best person to install it! By the way I am a renovator and I love product research. I get no kickback from this ...just to be clear! I am actually in a big rush and would love to tell you more but I have to fly to Shanghai . I am a very jealous flight attendant that lives in Toronto by the way. If you are interested , I can give you a knowledgeable person to speak with. when I get back....got to run
