hi, i am trying to get started in REI. I live in edmonton and am hoping to buy 3-4 properties in the near future and have a property management company manage them. I have made a decent amount of money from online poker and am now looking to diversify and have a decent amount(prolly a bit over 1m) of liquid cash/potential investors. Can you guys give any advice for starting out? I have a few questions:
1. A) Is Edmonton a good market to invest in right now as the boom ended a while ago but edmonton is still a strong economic city?
B) if edmonton is not a good market where should i look? is there any difficulties in REI in cities u dont live in?
2. Where can i find a good property management company?
3. Is it a better deal to try to get a discount by offering to pay in cash?
