Good Renovator?

I was hoping to start this thread in an effort to identify some good contractors. One property I`ve been working on has been on hold for almost 2 months now due to a sleazy contractor, and I thought this might be a good place to seek out a good one. Does anyone have any suggestions for contractors (larger scale) or handymen (smaller jobs, ie: trim and paint). Currently, I`m lookin specifically in Calgary.

I run a renovation company based in south Calgary. We service the south end of the city and the communities of Okotoks and High River (I am willing to work in the north end of the city just prefer to avoid the commute) I am new to the REIN community as I have only been reading these message boards for a month or so and just faxed my application to join yesterday. That being said as part of your due diligence I would be more than happy to put you in contact with some of my recent customers for a reference and also show you our work. My company is Licensed, Bonded, and Insured with proper WCB coverage.

We are prepared to handle any type or size of residential construction job. I have been a Rein member for several years,buying distreesed properties and renovating them. I have experience in all aspects of renovations and can provde cost effective solution for your projects. Over the last couple of years we have become bastment suite experts. We have created or re-developed several lower units,creating quality functional suites.

We are now accepting new projects, anything from framing to painting and everthing in between.

Hi there. I have a tenant in my house in Calgary who is a contractor and is very good. He has done work on my house, and built a bathroom for my brother. My brother builds infills and hired him for work on some of their projects. He is honest and does good work.

I used 3G Ventures Inc... Garth 403-827-3223 for my Blairmore property to do a metal roof and soffits and fascia plus some vertical layed tongue and groove stained cedar to make it look like a mtn retreat. Also involved with Garth on a property in Hitchcock Bay as a partner where we built a 1200 sq ft cabin with infloor heating from scratch. Garth has experience in all phases of renovating. Worth a quote as he lives in Calgary.
